Kudos to Laikok, the sole distributor of Ricoh cameras in Hong Kong, for trusting us the GRD III for free testing. We've heard about the class act of Ricoh people from users and testers around the world on the Internet. Now we see it ourselves.

The GRDIII feels great for street photography. If you ask me, the F1.9 lens alone is definitely worthy of an upgrade. The enhanced customisable functions are even better than a full-fledged DSLR in my opinion.

In the coming posts, we will be showing some photos about Hong Kong and writing our impressions of the camera.

I just wonder how those big brothers response as your GRDIII is shooting on them in such a close range ?

are they cooperative model ? or once again you became the silent scope ?

What do you think? I could have been chopped into pieces.

They are sort of used to me. I have been around shooting pictures. Some fingers pointed to me as a warning once.

Final Verdicts: GF2 in Action

So, after all the discussions of its bells and whistles, how does it perform in reality? First things first. Which or what kind of cameras should we measure the GF2 against for that matter? We believe that potential buyers of the GF2, maybe except for serial fad chasers and the diehard loyalists, are attracted by its smallness in size with a larger sensor to achieve better image quality, especially at ISO 800 or above. However, given the less satisfactory handling with for example just one dial, the GF2 cannot assume the place of a primary camera.
