What the shot of today depicts is, to most, a storm brewing. But what if the image was reproduced in colour showing everything brighten up by glittering golden sunrays?
Light is probably the most decisive element in telling the mood of an image. In this connection, there is a proven gimmick to trick viewers when the real mood of the scene is not quite "right", especially when the environmental light is bluish. It is to turn the white balance to "Cloudy". Or you may even tone the "Cloudy" up on the scale. The final image will show more details and better contrast. For sure, in that case, you will wish to shoot in Jpeg plus RAW to give yourself a second chance to "correct" the image.
