The Charm of Oxford

The university city has a special old and scholarly atmosphere to it.  Subconsciously, I was too charmed to run around the city with the camera.  Admiring the people and the landmarks at a leisurely pace were good enough it seemed.

You have discovered on of the best Engish Cities. I live only about 20 miles away but don't get there veru often because it's a problem to park. I look forward to getting my free bus pass in about 13 months time and then get into the city as often as I wish.
Oxford is great for street/people shots.
I do hope you get over into the Cotswolds you would enjoy towns like Burford, Stow. and the tourist villages of Bibury and Bourton.

How I wish I did manage to get some advice from a local like you before setting off! Cotswolds and the other towns would unfortunately be missed this time as today's post reveals.

The UK is great for travelling around (much better than France I think). The train service so far has been trusty. Unexpectedly punctual. Or is it only because of my luck?

I spent some good hours in the Blackwell and left with two bags of books.
