(Ricoh GRD 4) "Sou" is a richly loaded word literally meaning, among others, "stop" while "gong" is "work/ effort".  Sougong is using said in an exclamation sort of way when one is knocking off from work, especially if the following day is a holiday or a long holiday which I am going to enjoy. Sougong for today!

(Ricoh GRD 4) If a man is ever going to discover that he remains compassionate deep down, not otherwise, it will probably be at the sight of the miserable life of others.  Then it is that compassion which  surpasses his affairs with unnamed urgency and spreads over him through all the senses.  However, contrary to this, many of us in this city have an unfeeling heart growing big enough to outreach this merciful disposition in every direction, which is not the least cultivated by the presence of the locally faked street fund-raising activities and the increasingly common sight of "professional" beggers visiting from Mainland China on holiday.

(Ricoh GRD 4) Hong Kong is in the rainy season and we are having another typhoon coming right after the one that brought an unstable weather last week.

Its Master Award photo contest is the real thing offering a VERY handsome amount of prize money.  The best of all is that its contest is themed on much talked about social issues in Hong Kong. So this is more about photography and winning.

(Ricoh GRD 4) Just yesterday I received the news of me winning a minor prize from a local photography contest, which entitles me to, this time, being the subject -- namely, an approxiamtely HK$2000 photography package in a studio. This afternoon the WYNG foundation rang to say that my two entries to their photo contest was selected for the final round for public voting. Honestly, I utterly HATE selection of winners by public voting coz I have seen enough of very likely cheating in such contests. But as this is the rule of the game, I will write further here to beg for votes when the voting starts.
